Chapter Thirty Five: My Happiness, Forever
~At night~
“Going home?” Han asked.
“Yap. Calvin is coming to fetch me. Gui, do you want us to give you a lift?” Hebe asked.
“It’s ok. I can go home myself with Chun.” Just as I finished packing, they appeared right at the door.
“What are the both of you doing?” Aaron and Wang Zi gave each other a stare. Aaron pushed Wang Zi away and walked up to me.
“Are you still angry with me?” Aaron asked me.
“I should be the one asking you this instead. I’m already married to you, why you are still getting jealous over Wang Zi issue?”
“Who ask him to be so close to you even though after we got married.” I let out a sigh.
“Mum, are you angry with dad?” Chun tugged my shirt. I squatted down. “No, Chun. Let’s go home ok?”
“Ok.” I held onto Chun’s hand and walked away.
“Gui..” Aaron said.
“Dad, let’s go.” Chun released my hand and ran to Aaron. “Dad, why are you not going?”
“Because your mum is still angry with me.”
“But mum said that she’s not angry with you.” Chun got puzzled and went to Wang Zi.
“Dad, why is mum angry with dad?”
“Chun, why are you still calling Uncle Wang Zi dad?”
“Because Uncle Wang Zi is my god dad so I call him dad. Mum says its fine.” Aaron looked at me.
I sigh. “Aaron..”
“Wang Zi, help me send Chun home.” I walked out of the shop immediately.
“Gui!” Aaron chased after me.
“Gui!” He caught my hand and stopped me from walking. I turned around and faced him.
“Ok. I lose. Don’t be angry already ok?” Aaron pleaded. I smacked his forehead.
“You are always like this.” I pouted. He smiled at me. He came forward and hugged me into his arms gently.
“I do not want to lose you again.” I smiled and hugged him back.
~Flashback~
~The day before my wedding~
“Aaron?” I knocked on Aaron’s room. He did not reply me. “Aaron? I’m coming in.” I slowly pushed open the door.
“Aaron?” My eyes widen. I dropped the glass of milk that I was holding on to. I dashed to Aaron immediately.
“Aaron!! Aaron!!” Tears started rolling down my cheeks. No matter how much I call him, he did not answer me. No matter how much I shook him, he did not open his eyes to look at me.
“Aaron!! You don’t scare me. Open up your eyes and looked at me. Is not funny. Aaron!!” Just then, Aaron’s dad and mum came into the room too.
“What happened??”
“Aaron..” Tears kept on flowing and flowing out. “How could you..”
“Quickly, send him to the hospital.” Aaron’s dad said.
Once we reached the hospital, they pushed Aaron in to check on him. After 30 minutes, the doctor came out.
“How’s my son?” Aaron’s mum said agitatedly.
“Calm down my dear.” Aaron’s dad calmed her down.
“Doctor, how’s Aaron? Don’t tell me that he’s tumor came back.” I blurt out forgetting that Aaron’s parents don’t know about it.
“What tumor?” Aaron’s dad looked at me.
“I..”
“Don’t worry. He’s just fainted because of tiredness. He should rest more. After that big illness he had, he should rest even more. Take good care of him. You all may go in and see him already.” The doctor smiled and walked away. I went into the room immediately. Aaron is still sleeping soundly. I looked at him.
“I’m sorry. I should have taken notice of you more.” Tears flow down my cheeks.
“Gui..” Aaron’s dad called me. I know what he was going to ask. The 3 of us went out of the room.
“I’m sorry uncle. I’m sorry for not telling you.” I told them what actually happen to Aaron in the past.
“I’m sorry.” I didn’t know why. Aaron is fine but I just broke down. Aaron’s mum hugged me into her arms.
“Silly girl.” She patted me on my back.
~The Next Day~
Just as I was about to wake up, I felt someone touching my head. The moment I looked up. Aaron was already awake. I smiled widely.
“I scared you, isn’t it?” Aaron said. I shook my head and held on to his hand.
“I’m sorry.” He touched my face and wiped off the tears. “I made you cry again.”
“Aaron, I..” He came forward to me and kissed my forehead and down to my eyes, proceeding to my cheeks and to my lips. He then hugged me tightly. Both of us did not say anything. The hug and kisses had already explained every feeling he have within him. And.. I understand.
~Our wedding day~
“Hello, Gui??” Hebe called me on the phone.
“I’m sorry for not able to attend your wedding. I’m pregnant now so I cannot fly over to England to attend your wedding. I told Calvin to go over but he said that he did not want to leave me alone in Taiwan. I’m sorry. But don’t worry. We send our presents there, together with our blessings to the both of you.”
“Thanks Hebe.”
“Gui, finally you found yourself a great guy to be with.” I smiled.
“Please be happy with him.”
“I will.”
“Take good care of yourself. And remember to come back to Taiwan to visit me and Calvin. Han and Jiro too. All of us miss the both of you.”
“Sure. Thank you.”
As the wedding bell rings, I walked into the church holding on to a bouquet of flower. Everyone stood up and started clapping as I walked on the red mat. And finally, I reached Aaron.
“Mr Aaron Yan, will you marry Ms Gui Gui as your wife, promise to protect and take care of her till death do you all part?”
“I do.”
“Ms Gui Gui, will you marry Mr Aaron Yan as your husband, promise to protect and take care of him till death do you all part?”
“I do.”
“You may exchange your rings now.” Both of us turned around and faced each other. The ring which was being hook onto my hand signifies that I’m his already.
“You may kiss the bride now.” Aaron lifts up my veil and kissed me on my lips. Both of us ran out of the church hand in hand and I threw the bouquet of flowers behind. Our wedding ended with lots of blessing and happiness. Mum, Dad, do you see it too? I looked up to the sky. Aaron pulled me into his hug.
“They will see it and I promise them to treat their daughter nicely, protecting her always.” I looked at Aaron. Tears flow down. He understands how I feel. He always knows what I am thinking. I hugged him tightly.
~End of Flashback~
“Let’s go back to get Chun and go home ok?” Aaron said. He held onto my hand and led me back. After walking a distance, I stopped.
“Gui?” He turned around and looked at me. I looked at him. I smiled. I put my hand over his neck, pulling him nearer to me. I planted a kiss on his lips. Both of us looked into each other eyes. He hugged me and kissed me passionately on my lips.
This is my happiness and it will always be.

#34 Gone?
Chapter Thirty Four: Gone?
*Gui Gui’s POV*
Aaron and I are now at a bridal shop searching for our gown.
“If ever Hebe is here, she would be able to give me some comments about the gown.” I pouted.
“You would be pretty no matter what you wear and I will still love you.” Aaron said. I giggled.
“Did you eat a lot of sweets just now? Why are your words sounded so sweet?” I smiled at him.
“Try on the gown first. I’m trying on mine too.” I nodded at him and went into the changing room. The moment I came out of the room, Aaron was already outside. I walked towards him.
“How do I look?” He turned around and looked at me. He didn’t reply me. I waved my hand in front of him.
“Is it very ugly?” He still didn’t reply. “I go and change then.” The moment I turned around and walked to walk away, he held onto me. I turned around and face him.
“Gui, you are beautiful.” He smiled.
“Are you sure?”
“Yea. I’m sure.” I smiled at him. “You looked handsome too.” I lift up my hand and adjust his bow for him.
He went up to me and hugged me. “Thank you.” I smiled.
~The day before my wedding~

I’m at Taiwan now with Wang Zi walking beside me. Both of us are heading towards the florist shop. Just as we are getting closer to the shop, a little boy ran out of the shop.
“Dad!! Mum!!” I squatted down to carry him up.
“Chun, how many times have I told you not to run out like that?!” I said.
“I’m sorry, mum.”
“Chun, look at what we have bought for you.” Wang Zi lifted up the bags of sweets and chocolates.
“Yea!! Chocolates!! Thanks dad.”
“Ok. Let’s go.” The 3 of us headed back to the shop.
“Gui, I’m sorry that I’m unable to attend your wedding.”
“It’s ok.” I smiled at her. She looked at me.
“It’s really fine. You are pregnant that time. So don’t worry ok?”
“I’m not referring to the wedding already.” I looked at her.
“I’m fine.” I replied.
“Gui..”
“Let’s start working!” I avoid the topic immediately and walked away.
*Gui Gui’s POV*

Chapter Thirty Three: The Proposal
*Gui Gui’s POV*
Both of us took the plane and left Taiwan together.
“Gui, do you want to eat anything? Rice? Cakes?” Aaron asked me.
“Nope.” I smiled at him. Throughout the journey, I kept on staring at Aaron. I’m so afraid that if I shift my gaze away from him, he might leave me alone again.
Aaron turned around and smiled at me. “You have been looking at me since we boarded the plane. Won’t you get bored staring at me for so long?”
“Nope.” I smiled. He came over and hugs me. “I’m sorry Gui, for forgetting you. I’m sorry for leaving you alone.” I shook my head.
“I’m glad that you are back by my side again.”
After many hours of flight, we finally reached England.
“Dad, Mum.” Aaron hugged his dad and his mum.
“Auntie, Uncle.” I smiled at them.
“Welcome Gui.” Aaron’s dad said. Aaron’s mum smiled at me and gave me a hug.
“Rooms are already prepared for the both of you. Go and take a rest first.” I nodded and walked towards my room. After unpacking my things, I went to knock on Aaron’s room. Once he opened the door, I dashed up to him and hugged him tightly.
“What.. What happened? Are you ok?” Aaron started panicking by my actions. I lifted up my head and smiled at him.
“Silly Gui. You scared me.” He patted my head.

“Yap.”
“Aaron.. Can we.. go walk around?” I smiled at him.
“You do not want to rest? Not tired?”
“Nope. Let’s go. I never have been to England before. Please??” I showed him my puppy eyes.
He let out a sigh. “Ok.” He smiled and held onto my hand.
“Both of you are going out?” Aaron’s dad asked.
“Ya. Gui said that she wants to go out.”
“Ok. Come back early. We have dinner together.”
“Ok!!” I happily agreed and both of us went out of the house. We travelled around the city.
“Aaron, Aaron! Let’s go and get some ice-cream.” I pulled him to the ice-cream shop.
“2 chocolate ice-cream. Thank you.” Aaron ordered. I happily lick the ice-cream and started walking. After walking a distance, I then realized I was all alone. Where’s Aaron? I dropped the ice-cream onto the floor and started looking around for him. I went back to the ice-cream shop to find him but he’s not there. I’m not familiar to this place. I looked around the place. Everyone looked so foreign to me. Tears started flowing out. Aaron.. I started calling his name in my heart. How could he leave me alone again?
“Gui?” I heard some familiar voice calling out to my name. I turned around and see Aaron standing in front of me. I dashed up to him and hugged him tightly.
“How could you leave without me??” My sobbing became louder.
“I’m sorry Gui. I went to get you this teddy bear when we walked past the soft toy shop.” He rose up his hand to show me the bear he is holding on to. “I’m sorry.” He wiped off my tears and hugged me tightly.
Both of us went back home after that. I hugged onto the bear tightly.
“Both of you really came back very early.” Aaron’s dad looked at me as I walked past him. “Gui?” He then looked at Aaron. “What happened to her?”
“Nothing, dad.” I go and looked at her.” Aaron then followed me back to my room.
“Gui..” He held onto my hand. I kept silence. He walked in front of me. I threw the teddy bear on the bed and hugged Aaron.
“Do you know how scared I am? I’m so scared that you might just leave me again. I..” Without completing my sentence, he forced a kiss on lips. He hugged me tightly and pull me closer to him.
~At night~
The 4 of us are sitting around the table taking our dinner. Aaron’s dad just popped out a question making the both of us unable to react.
“When are the both of you getting married? Gui, Did Aaron propose to you already?” I was shocked by his question. I looked at Aaron.
“Dad, why did you ask this now?” Aaron said.
“Aw.. My little son is being embarrassed now?”
“Dad!” Looking at Aaron’s expression, I giggled.
~After dinner~
Aaron and I stood at the balcony. He stood behind me, hugging me from the back.
“Gui..”
“Ya?”
“Let’s get married.”
“Huh?!” My eyes widen. I turned around and looked at him.
“Are you serious?” He gave me a peak lightly on my forehead.
“I’m serious.” He took out a box from his pocket and opened it in front of me.
“Will you want to be my wife?”
*Gui Gui’s POV*
Both of us took the plane and left Taiwan together.

Chapter Thirty Two: Forever?
*Aaron’s POV*
Gui, I remembered. I remembered. I kept on running around the area to look for her. She shouldn’t be too far away.
~Flashback 2~
I hook his arm and both of us stroll at the park. He stopped suddenly and turned to face me. He took down the couple necklace and handed over to me.
“Aaron??” He placed the necklace on my palm. “W..what is the meaning of this?”
“Gui, listen carefully to whatever I’m going to say now.” I looked at him.
“Keep this necklace for me. If I ever forget about you, please forgive me. If I ever leave you alone, please forget about me..”
“No. Aaron..” I started losing control. Tears are up to the brim and flowing down.
“I always wanted you to be happy. If I’m the one who steal your smile away from you, you should hate me.”
“I wouldn’t hate you because you are the one who gives me happiness and will always be.” I hugged him tightly.
“Gui..” He broke the hug. He grabbed onto my shoulder. “Gui, listen to me. Promise me even if I leave you, you will..”
“No No. I don’t want to listen to it!!” I covered up my eyes with my hands. “You said that you will never leave me. You said that I’m always yours. You said that you will always protect me. You cannot take back your words. Even if you forget about me, I will make you remember me but I don’t allow you to leave me alone!! If you are going to leave, then bring me along!” Tears kept on flowing and flowing. This is how important he is to me.
“I’m sorry.” And he pulled me into his arms. “I’m sorry.”
~End of Flashback~
When I saw her, she already gets on the taxi. I quickly went to get my car but once I drove out the taxi was out of sight. Where could she have gone to? Playground. Playground. I drove to the playground. I kept on searching and searching but I could not find her. Where is she?? I went home and started smashing things that I could see.
“Young Master, Young Master.” The maids wanted to stop me but no one dare to get close to me. Just then the phone ring.
“Young Master, Mistress is on the line.” I went to pick up the phone.
“When are you going to come here??!! I do not care whether is Gui Gui going to come with you. I demand you to take the flight tomorrow!!”
“Mum, but..”
“No more buts!!” And she put down the phone. I took bottle of beers out from the fridge and started drinking. Even till the next morning, Gui still have not come back home. I went up to my room and started packing my luggage. Just before I left the house, I walked into Gui’s room. I left her note for her and put one of the air tickets on the table with the note. I took a last look and left the house.
*Gui Gui’s POV*
I was staying over at Hebe’s house the whole night. I didn’t know where to go. In the end, I took the taxi to Hebe’s house. Only till the morning, I went back home. I didn’t see Aaron around so I went back to my room. I scanned the room and saw something on the table. I went over to take the note.
Gui,
I’m sorry if I made you cry again. I gain back my memories. I remembered how much I love you. I remembered the things that we gone through together.
My mum has been asking me to go back England. I’m leaving today. Gui, I love you. I know I always do.

Aaron. No. No. You are not going to leave me alone again. I looked at the air ticket. I quickly went to pack my luggage and headed to the airport.
*Aaron’s POV*
I looked around the airport. I guess she won’t be coming.
“Passengers who are taking flight…” Guess it’s time to go in. The moment I turned around, someone called me.
“Aaron!! Aaron!!” Gui ran up to me and hugged me.
“Are you going to leave me alone again? I thought you say the next time you will bring me along.” Gui looked up at me. I wiped off her tears. I hugged her tightly.
“I promised. I will not leave you alone again. I’m sorry.” I looked at her. I smiled and kissed her passionately.
*Aaron’s POV*

I went up to my room and started packing my luggage. Just before I left the house, I walked into Gui’s room. I left her note for her and put one of the air tickets on the table with the note. I took a last look and left the house.
*Gui Gui’s POV*
I was staying over at Hebe’s house the whole night. I didn’t know where to go. In the end, I took the taxi to Hebe’s house. Only till the morning, I went back home. I didn’t see Aaron around so I went back to my room. I scanned the room and saw something on the table. I went over to take the note.
Gui,
I’m sorry if I made you cry again. I gain back my memories. I remembered how much I love you. I remembered the things that we gone through together.
My mum has been asking me to go back England. I’m leaving today. Gui, I love you. I know I always do.

I looked around the airport. I guess she won’t be coming.

“Aaron!! Aaron!!” Gui ran up to me and hugged me.
“Are you going to leave me alone again? I thought you say the next time you will bring me along.” Gui looked up at me. I wiped off her tears. I hugged her tightly.
“I promised. I will not leave you alone again. I’m sorry.” I looked at her. I smiled and kissed her passionately.

*Aaron’s POV*
“So silly of me. How could you remember?” She covered the box of ice-cream and put back into the fridge. She went to the dining room and started eating dinner.

“What do you want to eat?”
“I want chocolate ice-cream.” After the ice-cream is being served, she started eating. She keeps on scooping the ice-cream into her mouth. After finishing, she asked for the second one. I thought it would be fine so I ordered the second one for her. But she ends up wanting more. She just kept on eating. Hebe tried to stop her by taking her ice-cream away but..
“Give me back.” I didn’t ever see like this before. She was always happy? Or was that only a type of mask to hide her true feelings?
“Gui..”
“I say give me back.” Hebe had no choice but to return her. Gui was so cold and silent at that moment.
“Gui, stop eating. You will get stomach upsets.”

“Gui, do you want to eat something? You haven’t been eating anything since afternoon.” She didn’t reply me. “Gui..” She started crying again. I patted on her back with her hugging me tightly.

“Does it look like you and me?” I looked at both snowmen.

“I really don’t remember. Is she really my girlfriend?” Calvin nodded.
“How could you forget about her? Isn’t she the one you care for most?”
When Calvin left, I started thinking of what he had said. The holes in my memories, Is she the one in my memory? Every now and then, she would always come and visit me but I did not mention a word to her about the wall paper. She might end up thinking that I remembered her which is not although I did have flashbacks here and there.
On the day I was discharged, she was here again.
“Aaron, ready to go?” She said.
“Where’s Calvin?”
“He’s downstairs waiting for us.” I nodded at her and walked out of the room.
“I help you with the bag.” She offered to take my stuffs but I rejected her.
“It’s ok. I can take it myself.”
“Oh ok.” She sounded disappointed. I turned around to look at her. I held onto her hand and led her behind me.
“Let’s walk faster. Don’t let Calvin wait for too long.”

I was happy when he held onto my hand. Can I treat these as some hope in our relationship? Aaron, when will you remember me? Both of us headed to Calvin’s car.
“Eh! Eh!” Calvin looked at our hands which are holding on to each other. Aaron let go of my hand immediately.
“Let’s go.” And he went inside the car. Calvin looked at me. I didn’t say anything. I just smiled at him and went into the car.
When we reached home, Calvin went back to his company.
“You are living in my house?” Aaron asked.
“Yes.”
“Why are you living in my house?” I didn’t know how to answer him. He has forgotten what we have been through, didn’t he? I didn’t reply him. I really hope that he could remember me.
“I go and fix dinner for you.”
“The chef can do so isn’t it?” I ignored him and headed for the kitchen. While preparing the dinner, tears started flowing out.

“I’m sorry. I know that you are my girlfriend but I pretended not to know. I know that I shouldn’t be forgetting about our past but I really can’t remember. I know that..” I stopped him from continuing. The more he says, the more pain my heart gets.

Tears kept on flowing out. I didn’t want to stay here anymore. I ran out of the kitchen and out of the house. I have lost count already. This is the Nth time that I ran away from him. He would not come after me this time.

I started driving around my house but I still couldn’t find her. I then realized, in the bottom of my heart, I did care for her. I would get affected my mood. I did hope for her to come and visit me when I’m at the hospital. What’s the matter with me? Rain started pouring down. Where could she have been to? I went back home after that. I couldn’t find her. I looked out of the window. Rain drops are hitting against the glass. I walked up the stairs and opened her room door. I walked inside. I saw a tatty bear and a piglet sitting side by side on her bed. Flashbacks started coming back and head started to hurt.

“This is for you.”
“AH!!! It’s so cute.”
“Hi tatty bear. My name is Gui Gui. What’s yours?”
“Hey! What are you laughing at?”
“Nothing.” I started laughing and we went chasing each other around the room.

“Let’s win it ok?”
“OK!!!” She hugged the piglet and ran all over the amusement park wanting to try of the games there.

My memory was like a puzzle. Pieces of memory seem to come back to me one by one. Without realizing, I fall asleep on her bed. The next morning I woke up, I was covered with blanket. Did Gui come home? I ran out of the room immediately. I looked around the house but I couldn’t see her anywhere.
“Morning, Young Master.” A maid greeted me.
“Did you saw Gui?”
“I’m sorry Young Master. Ms Gui Gui didn’t come home yesterday after she ran out.” I went out looking for her again. I should be able to know where is she but.. I called Calvin and Hebe but they didn’t seem to know where she is. Hebe screamed into the phone.
“WHAT DID YOU DO AGAIN?? DID YOU MAKE HER SAD AGAIN?? YOU HAVE ALREADY FORGOTTEN ABOUT HER, WHY DO YOU STILL WANT TO MAKE HER CRY AGAIN??!!” I could hear Calvin’s voice at the back.
“Dear, calm down. Aaron don’t mean to.”
“Calvin and I will go look for her too. Let’s keep in contact.” I went on searching for her. I asked around but no one seems to see her. Just then, I saw some familiar figure walking pass. It’s her!
“Gui!” I shouted for her but she doesn’t seem to hear me. “GUI!!” I called for her again. I kept on running and running towards her direction. She seems so distracted. She kept on walking and walking. Even if she knocked onto people, she doesn’t even care. My eyes widen when she started crossing the road.
“Gui!! LOOK OUT!!!” I dashed up to her. Horns from the vehicles were everywhere across the streets. I pushed her away. Both of us fall to the side of the road.
“Gui, Gui. Are you ok? Huh?” I hugged her tightly.
“Let me go.” She pushed me away and walked away. I ran up to her and pulled her back.
“I said let me go!” She tried to swing off my hand. I pulled her into my arms.
“I’m sorry.” I whispered into her ears.
“Don’t say sorry to me. You are not the one at fault. I only can blame myself. I’m the one who asked you to go for the operation. I’m the one who told you to forget about me. I’m the one who said that I’m able to make me remember me. I’m the one.” Tears started rolling down her cheeks.
“Let me go.” She pushed me away and walked away. I stood there. My legs seem to be rooted to the ground. After a while, it’s my turn to walk around. I went back home at night. To my surprise, Gui was at home. I ran up to her but..
“I cooked dinner for you. Eat it while it’s still warm.” She said in a cold tone.
After bringing out all the dishes from the kitchen, she went back to her room.
“Aren’t you going to eat with me?” She shook her head. After 15 minutes, she walked down from her room. She went to open the fridge and took a box of chocolate ice-cream. She sat at the living room and started eating it.
“Gui, it’s bad for health eating ice-cream at night.”
“I know.” She replied.
“But why are you still eating it? There is still food on the table.” I wanted to take the ice-cream away from her but she wouldn’t let me.

Chapter Twenty Nine: Broken Memories
*Gui Gui’s POV*
The sun rose up and shone the empty house. Aaron.. I took a deep breath and hang a smile over my mouth. I walked into the kitchen and started cooking. I started packing lunch box for Aaron. I have already said to myself yesterday. I must be strong. I must make him remember me. After cooking, I packed the food nicely into the lunch box. I smiled to myself. I hope he would like it.
I grabbed my things and headed to the hospital. When I reached, I stood outside the room. Should I go in? Why am I backing out now? Go in! I turned the knob and walked in. He was awake, sitting on the bed reading newspaper.
“Morning Aaron!!” I smiled at him widely. But he frowned instead. “Why are you here?” He gave me a cold look. I was trembling when I saw that around his neck.
“Did you remember me??!!” I ran up to him. He was wearing the couple ring that I return him.
“What are you talking about?” I then realized that he did not remember who I am. One day past only anyway. He would not remember me just by one day.
“Oh. I thought the necklace..” He looked at the necklace over my neck and feel for his.
“I thought it was nice so I wore it. If it’s yours, I return to you then.” He wanted to take off the necklace.
“No. No. It’s yours anyway.” He looked up at me.
“It’s mine?” I nodded at him. Silence crept in between us. He then realized that I was still standing in his room.
“Are you going off soon?” He said.
“I..” I grabbed on tightly to the bag of lunch box. “I brought some food for you.” I put the bag on the table.
“I just ate.”
“Errr.. Erm.. I just put here first. If you are hungry, then you take it out and eat.” I smiled at him. He just nodded and didn’t bother. I didn’t know what to say after that. I stood there like some idiot.
“I think I better get going.” I said. He just nodded. I looked at Aaron for the last few seconds before walking out of the room. He still can’t remember..
Before leaving, I looked at him again from outside. To my surprise, I saw him taking out the lunch box.
*Aaron’s POV*
This morning, when my eyes flung opened, sun shone directly into my eyes. At the same time, I felt something poking my back. I sat up and stretched my hand behind to take the thing which was poking my back. It was the necklace. I looked at the curving once again. Does it mean anything? There was a sense of familiarity towards this necklace which was unexplainable. So, I took the necklace and wore it around my neck.
Just as I took the newspaper at the side and started reading it, the girl came into my room.
“Morning Aaron!!” She seems to be in a good mood?
“Why are you here?” Without replying my question, she ran up to me suddenly.

“What are you talking about?”
“Oh. I thought the necklace..” I looked at her neck. She did have one too.
“I thought it was nice so I wore it. If it’s yours, I return to you then.”

“It’s mine?” She just nodded. We didn’t talk after that. I just felt uncomfortable suddenly.
“Are you going off soon?” I said.
“I.. I brought some food for you.”
“I just ate.”
“Errr.. Erm.. I just put here first. If you are hungry, then you take it out and eat.” I did not respond her.
“I think I better get going.” I just nodded at her.
After she left, I looked at the bag on the table. I’m actually very hungry. I took out the lunch box and placed it on the table. This lunch box.. Did I see it before?? My head started to get hurt again.

“Morning Aaron!! I made this breakfast for you. Hurry up and eat before it gets cold.”
“I’m not eating. I’m leaving.”
“Wait Wait. If you do not want to eat breakfast, it’s ok. I made a lunch box for you. Take it with you. I made it specially for you. I’m afraid that you will forget to eat lunch again so I..” I ignored her.
“Aaron, lunch box..”
“I didn’t ask you to make for me.”

I flipped.. I flipped the lunch box away. Argh!! What are all these memories?? It seems so familiar but at the same time, it seems so foreign too. I opened the lunch box. The fragrant of the food filled the whole room. I took the spoon and started eating. The more I eat, the more I have this feeling which seems to be missing from my heart. Did I lose something important to me?
~At night~
Calvin came to see me.
“Hey brother, how are you feeling?”
“Great. I can be discharged soon.”
“I came to pass you your phone. In case anything happen, you can reach me or Gui Gui easily.”
“Gui.. Gui?” I said. He gave me a weird look.
“Ya. Gui Gui. Your girlfriend. The girl on the wall paper.” I looked at him and down to my phone. Is her.
“She’s…”
“She’s Gui Gui. Don’t you remember?” He was shocked too. Just then, Calvin’s phone rang.
“Hello? Yes, my dear?”
Just as he is talking on the phone, I looked the wall paper.

“Aaron, Aaron. Are they cute??” Someone was piling up the snowmen.
“Yes.”
“Does it look like you and me?”
“Which one are you which one is me?” I said.
“This is you and this is me.”
“Let’s take a photo with them. This will be your wallpaper.”

The flashback just stopped suddenly. I forced myself to continue thinking about it but I couldn’t get the images back.
“Aaron, are you ok?” Calvin asked when he put down the phone.
“Yea. I’m fine. Who was that?”
“Hebe.” And he smiled sweetly.

“Yea?”
“You really don’t remember who is Gui Gui?”

*Gui Gui’s POV*
Just as Wang Zi left, Hebe called.
“Hello!! Gui? Gui?”

“Aaron??!! What happen to him?? What happen to him!!” I could feel that there are many pairs of eyes looking towards my direction. Calvin and I dashed out of the airport. I shouldn’t have leave his side. I shouldn’t have.

“Hello!! Gui? Gui?”
“Yes, Hebe? I’m listening.”
“Aaron.. He.. He..”
“Aaron??!! What happen to him?? What happen to him!!”
“The doctor said that he is losing too much blood. He might not be able to make it. Gui, come back quickly!!”

Nothing will happen to him. Nothing will.
“Gui, Aaron will be fine.” Calvin grabbed onto my hand tightly. I could feel that my whole body is shacking. Once we reached the hospital, I ran with my faster speed.
“Hebe, Hebe. How’s Aaron? How’s Aaron?!!” I grabbed onto her arms tightly.
“Gui, calm down. Calm down. Aaron is fine already.” I started calming down. Hebe smiled. “Aaron is fine now. The doctor managed to save him. He has been transfer to the normal room.”
“Can we go and see him now?” I asked.
“Yes. Let’s go.”
Slowly, I pushed the door open. Aaron is sleeping soundly on the bed.
“We have to wait till the medicine worn off before he wakes up.” Hebe said. I nodded at her and turned back to look at Aaron. I stayed in the room all night. Calvin and Hebe went home.
“Water~ Water~” I heard some mumblings which caused me to wake up.
“Aaron? Aaron?” I dashed towards his bed immediately. “Water? Water!” I poured the water into the cup and pass to him.
“Aaron, how are you feeling? Are you ok?” He stared at me blankly.
“Who are you?” He.. He forgot about me. He really forgot about me.
“I.. You really don’t remember?”
“Should I remember you?” He said in a cold tone.
“I go and call the doctor for you.” I said in a sad voice and left the room. I must not cry. I must not. I went to get the doctor and he did a check up for him.
“How is him?” The doctor and I stood outside of his room.
“He is perfectly alright for now. He still needs to come to the hospital now and then for checkups.”
“Doctor, but.. Why did he forget about me?” I asked.
“The tumor in his brain has been pressing against his nerves. Due to the late treatment, the tumor has grown bigger. He only lost part of his memory.”
“Will he be able to regain his memory?”
“This is very hard to conclude. He might or he might never regain his memory. This depends on himself. You can try to talk to him more and bring him to places which might help him to regain his memory.”
“Thanks doctor.” And I went back to his room.
“Why are you back again?” He said.
“I came to take care of you.” I’m quite taken back when he said that.
“I don’t need you to take care of me. I need to rest now. Can you please leave?” And he turned his back against me. Drops of tears started falling down. Before I leave, I placed his necklace on the table. Without saying anything, I left.

“Water~ Water~” I saw this girl rushed towards me and pour some water for me. Who is this? Is she the nurse or something? When my vision got clearer, I saw her not wearing any uniform. Who is she?
“Aaron, how are you feeling? Are you ok?”
“Who are you?” When I asked this, her expression changed. She.. She looked kind of familiar. Where have I seen her before? I can’t remember. Or maybe it’s just by imagination.
“I.. You really don’t remember?”
“Should I remember you?” I replied in a cold tone.
“I go and call the doctor for you.” I didn’t understand why she has that expression on her face. Why does she look so sad? Why am I even thinking so much? I do not know her right?
After the doctor came to check on me, she left the room.
“Why are you back again?” I thought she really left.
“I came to take care of you.”
“I don’t need you to take care of me. I need to rest now. Can you please leave?” I turned my back around. After hearing the door close, I then turned back. The necklace caught my eyes. I stretched my hand out to take the necklace. A&G? A&G? AH! My head started to..

*Aaron’s POV*
“Aaron, do you want to eat anything? Apple? Pear?” Gui started taking out all the fruits that she had bought for me.
“Gui..” I grabbed onto her hand. I know. She is feeling very scared now. I’m going for the operation tomorrow. Today might be the last day that I’m able to stand in front of her. Nobody is able to predict what will happen after the operation. I hugged her tightly. God, I’m begging you. Please don’t take her away from me.
I kissed her on the forehead and down to her cheeks. My lips landed on hers and to her neck. I left a mark on her neck.
Just then, her phone ring.
*Gui Gui’s POV*
I went out of the room to pick up the phone call.
“Hello?”
“It’s me, Wang Zi.” He didn’t know about Aaron’s situation. None of us told him.
“Ya?”
“I went to the shop but they say you were out.”
“Is there anything?”
“Nope. I just want to ask you whether are you free tonight? Can we meet for dinner?”
“Erm.. Sorry. I can’t make it tonight. What about..”
“Nevermind then.” Before I could even say anything, the line went off. He sounded disappointed. I’m sorry. I went into the room and looked at Aaron. I wouldn’t want to leave him tonight.
“Who is that?” Aaron asked.
“Wang Zi.” His expression changed. It has always been the case.
“Aaron, I..” He smiled at me.
“Gui, let’s go down and take a walk ok?” I smiled and nodded at him.
I hook his arm and both of us stroll at the park. He stopped suddenly and turned to face me. He took down the couple necklace and handed over to me.
“Aaron??” He placed the necklace on my palm. “W..what is the meaning of this?”
“Gui, listen carefully to whatever I’m going to say now.” I looked at him.

I started laughing. “What?”
“How am I supposed to answer you when you ask so many questions at once?”
“Oh.” He let out a silly laughter.
“We didn’t do anything much. We just talked about the past and he asked me about my mother. He did not bully me, silly. I will move out from Wang Zi’s house. I’m going to stick with you forever.”
“Yes, my wife.” And he started laughing.
“What so funny??!!” Both of us started chasing each other around.
“Ah!!”
“Aaron!! Aaron!!” I rushed to him immediately. “Are you ok? Your head hurt again?? Huh?” I started panicking.
“I’m fine. I’m fine.”
“Don’t lie to me. Your face became so pale. I go and call doctor.” He held onto my hand to stop me from calling the doctor.
“I’m fine, Gui. I’m really fine.”
“Are you sure?” He nodded.
“Let’s go back. You need to rest.” I said. Both of us headed back to the room.
~The Next Day~
Everyone was worried about him. His operation was arranged around evening. I stayed with him all day. Even till the last minute, I didn’t bare to let my hand off. If I let go, will he really leave me forever?

“Gui, Wait for me. Wait for me.” I nodded at him while seeing him being pushed into the operation room. Hours and hours of time just pass. At this moment, Wang Zi called me.

“Gui, I’m leaving already.”
“Leaving? To where?”
“I’m flying back to America, to where my parents are.” I was speechless.
“Today?”
“Yes. Guess we are not fated after all. Both of us didn’t manage take our last dinner together.”
“I’m sorry. I didn’t know about it.”
“It’s ok. Gui, please take care of yourself. If Aaron bullies you, you come and look for me. I will always be available for you. Bye.” The line went off.
“Gui?” Hebe went up to me. I went to take a seat. I looked at the operation room. Aaron is in there and Wang Zi is at the airport now. Where should I be at now?
“Gui, go to the airport if you want.” Calvin said.
“But..” I took another glance at the operation room.
“I sent you there if you want.” Calvin offered.
“I will stay here. If anything happens, I will call you.” Hebe said. I nodded at her and ran off with Calvin.
~At the airport~
Both of us went searching high and low for him.
“Wang Zi!!” I shouted his name the moment I saw him walking pass me. “Wang Zi!!” He didn’t hear me the first time I shouted.
Finally, he stopped walking and turned around. I ran up to him, panting heavily.
“Gui??” I took a deep breath before speaking.
“I came to send you off.” I smiled at him. He came up and hugged me suddenly.
“I have already sent your things back to Aaron’s house. Please be happy.” He said.
“You too.” I smiled.
“Passenger who are taking the flight 9378 towards America, please check in..”
“I got to go already.” Wang Zi said as he loosens his hug.
“Farewell.” Calvin said.
“Take good care of yourself, Gui.”
“You too. Will we meet again?” I asked. He just smiled and didn’t turn back.
Little did I know, I lost the both of them in one day.
*Aaron’s POV*
“Aaron, do you want to eat anything? Apple? Pear?” Gui started taking out all the fruits that she had bought for me.
“Gui..” I grabbed onto her hand. I know. She is feeling very scared now. I’m going for the operation tomorrow. Today might be the last day that I’m able to stand in front of her. Nobody is able to predict what will happen after the operation. I hugged her tightly. God, I’m begging you. Please don’t take her away from me.
I kissed her on the forehead and down to her cheeks. My lips landed on hers and to her neck. I left a mark on her neck.
Just then, her phone ring.
*Gui Gui’s POV*
I went out of the room to pick up the phone call.
“Hello?”
“It’s me, Wang Zi.” He didn’t know about Aaron’s situation. None of us told him.
“Ya?”
“I went to the shop but they say you were out.”
“Is there anything?”
“Nope. I just want to ask you whether are you free tonight? Can we meet for dinner?”
“Erm.. Sorry. I can’t make it tonight. What about..”
“Nevermind then.” Before I could even say anything, the line went off. He sounded disappointed. I’m sorry. I went into the room and looked at Aaron. I wouldn’t want to leave him tonight.
“Who is that?” Aaron asked.
“Wang Zi.” His expression changed. It has always been the case.
“Aaron, I..” He smiled at me.
“Gui, let’s go down and take a walk ok?” I smiled and nodded at him.
I hook his arm and both of us stroll at the park. He stopped suddenly and turned to face me. He took down the couple necklace and handed over to me.
“Aaron??” He placed the necklace on my palm. “W..what is the meaning of this?”
“Gui, listen carefully to whatever I’m going to say now.” I looked at him.
“Keep this necklace for me. If I ever forget about you, please forgive me. If I ever leave you alone, please forget about me..”
“No. Aaron..” I started losing control. Tears are up to the brim and flowing down.
“I always wanted you to be happy. If I’m the one who steal your smile away from you, you should hate me.”
“I wouldn’t hate you because you are the one who gives me happiness and will always be.” I hugged him tightly.
“Gui..” He broke the hug. He grabbed onto my shoulder. “Gui, listen to me. Promise me even if I leave you, you will..”
“No No. I don’t want to listen to it!!” I covered up my eyes with my hands. “You said that you will never leave me. You said that I’m always yours. You said that you will always protect me. You cannot take back your words. Even if you forget about me, I will make you remember me but I don’t allow you to leave me alone!! If you are going to leave, then bring me along!” Tears kept on flowing and flowing. This is how important he is to me.
“I’m sorry.” And he pulled me into his arms. “I’m sorry.”
We walked and sat down on the bench.
“Gui, how long do you intend to stay at Wang Zi’s house? What do the both of you do there? Did he do anything to you? Did he bully you? Are you going to..”
I started laughing. “What?”
“How am I supposed to answer you when you ask so many questions at once?”
“Oh.” He let out a silly laughter.
“We didn’t do anything much. We just talked about the past and he asked me about my mother. He did not bully me, silly. I will move out from Wang Zi’s house. I’m going to stick with you forever.”
“Yes, my wife.” And he started laughing.
“What so funny??!!” Both of us started chasing each other around.
“Ah!!”
“Aaron!! Aaron!!” I rushed to him immediately. “Are you ok? Your head hurt again?? Huh?” I started panicking.
“I’m fine. I’m fine.”
“Don’t lie to me. Your face became so pale. I go and call doctor.” He held onto my hand to stop me from calling the doctor.
“I’m fine, Gui. I’m really fine.”
“Are you sure?” He nodded.
“Let’s go back. You need to rest.” I said. Both of us headed back to the room.
~The Next Day~
Everyone was worried about him. His operation was arranged around evening. I stayed with him all day. Even till the last minute, I didn’t bare to let my hand off. If I let go, will he really leave me forever?
“Aaron..”
“Gui, Wait for me. Wait for me.” I nodded at him while seeing him being pushed into the operation room. Hours and hours of time just pass. At this moment, Wang Zi called me.
“Hello.”

Chapter Twenty Six: Exposed
*Gui Gui’s POV*
“Gui, do you want to take a break?” Hebe asked me. After lunch, I went to the shop and started working non-stop.
“Gui..” Hebe wanted to stop me from continuing working but my silence just scare her off.
*Aaron’s POV*
Same as usual, I’m looking at her from far. I always do so at night. It is to see her safely being fetched home by Wang Zi. Only after seeing her got into Wang Zi’s car, I will then leave the place.
At home, I really felt lonely without her. Ah!! The pain is back again.
“Young Master!!” The maids came up to me.
“I’m fine.” And I walked all the way back to my room. I didn’t tell my parents about it. I didn’t want them to worry but I know, sooner or later, things will just get exposed. It is only when and how it gets leaked out to them.
The next morning, I saw Calvin in my house.

I was working and working, when Calvin came into the shop.

*Aaron’s POV*
My head hurts again. This time I was sent to the hospital and they informed Calvin.
“Brother, go for the operation.”
“You should know why I do not want to go for the operation.”
“You rather lose your life than forgetting her?!” Calvin shouted.
“Yes.”
“Even is Gui, she would rather you going for the operation.”
“Calvin, stop persuading me.”
“Aaron! If you are going to be so stubborn, I’m going to tell Gui Gui.”
“Calvin!!”
“I will do it!! Trust me.” I stared at Calvin.
“Calvin, don’t force me.” Calvin just turned around and left the ward.
“Calvin!!” He did not turn back.
*Calvin’s POV*
Just now when I received the phone call, I dashed out of the shop. I promised Hebe that I will go back and fetch her. I went to the hospital and looked for Aaron. He was being stubborn. I cannot take it anymore. I have decided to tell Gui Gui about it. I slammed open the shop’s door.
“Dear?” Hebe was puzzled by his actions.
“Gui, I need to tell you about Aaron.”
“Must I listen to it now?” She has this sad expression on her face.
“Yes. You must listen to it now. If I were to say it later, you might not have the chance to see him again.” This time, she has a shocked expression on her face.
“What do you meant by this, dear?” Hebe was shocked too.
“Gui, only you can talk him thru.”
*Gui Gui’s POV*
This is impossible!! I immediately dashed out of the shop.
“Han, help us close the shop. Thank you.” Hebe told Han.
“Gui, get into the car.” Calvin called out to me.
Once we reached there, I dashed into his room. Hebe and Calvin stood outside the room. I walked slowly towards the bed. Aaron was sleeping soundly on the bed. I stretched out my hand to reach for him. Aaron started jerking and he opened his eyes.
“Why are you here?” he said coldly.
“Aaron..”
“Leave. I don’t want to see you.” Although his words hurt a lot but I finally understand why he is doing this.
“I’m not leaving.” He looked at me. I went up to hug him tightly.
“Don’t push me away. Please let me stay with you.” I cried again.
“Gui, don’t be like this.” He wanted to push me away. I break off the hug and looked at him.
“Aaron, forget about me.” He widened his eyes.
“No. No.”
“Aaron, listen to me.”
“No. Gui, don’t.”
“Aaron, I don’t want to lose you. I rather you forget about me.” I looked into his eyes. I lean forward to give him a peck on his forehead and down to his cheeks and finally his lips. After so long, I felt his warm again.

Chapter Twenty Five: Break Up
*Aaron’s POV*
Ah! My head. Where am I? My vision is so blur now. As it got clearer, I saw Gui standing in front of me. Am I dreaming? I should be dreaming. I closed up my eyes and went back to my dreamland. The next moment I opened my eyes, it’s already night time. I looked around the room. I started shifting myself to sit up. I then saw Gui with her head lying on my bed. Slowly, I moved my hand to stroke her hair.
She jerked a little and saw me awake. Her mouth grew wide opened.
“You are awake! I go and call them.” The moment she wanted to leave the room, I caught onto her hand. Both of us stared at each other for a moment. I realized that I was holding on to her hand. I immediately let go of her hand. Gui looked down on to the floor.
“I’m fine now. You can go back already.” I changed back to the cold tone when I said this. She didn’t move but stood at the same spot. I looked at her and saw her crying. I wanted to go up and comfort her but I stopped myself from doing so.
“Stop crying. I’m not dead yet.” I said.
“How could you do this to me?” She said while crying. The way she cried in front of me just made my heart softened.
“Gui..”
“How could you leave me alone? How could you hurt me so easily? How..” Without waiting for her to complete her sentence, I held her hand and pulled her towards me.
“I’m sorry.” I hugged her tightly. I then wondered how I am supposed to live without her. But..
“Let’s break up.” I said. She stopped crying immediately.
“No. No. Why? Did I do anything wrong? Why do you want to break up with me?” Gui practically lost control. I grabbed on to her shoulder.
“Gui! Gui! Listen to me.” She then slowly calm down. “You did nothing wrong. It’s me. I don’t love you anymore.”
“No. Impossible. You are lying to me right?”
“Go to Wang Zi. I believe he can bring happiness to you.” She took a few steps back before running out of my room. I’m sorry, Gui.
“Brother..” Calvin walked into my room.
“You decided not to tell her?” I shook my head.
“I have not tell them either. I just told them you have serious headaches which caused you to blank out. But I guess it didn’t sound convince. Hebe is starting to suspect that I’m hiding something from her.”
“Sorry, Calvin.”
“Aaron, think about it carefully. Rest well. I got to go already.”
“Thanks.” I lay on my bed. Gui.. I get down of my bed and headed down. I started looking around. This is the house without Gui. I went into the kitchen and opened the refrigerator. Boxes and boxes of chocolate ice-cream piled up in the fridge. Gui should have bought it that day. I took out one of them and started eating. Tears started welling out. I’m the one who let her go.
*Gui Gui’s POV*
I don’t believe. I don’t believe. I kept on running and running. How many times have I run away from him? I ran towards the beach.
“WHY!!!!” I screamed out loud towards the sea. I squatted down and started crying.

I went into a dessert hut and get some chocolate cakes. The moment I stepped out of the shop, I saw the both of you walking towards me.

I hadn’t been able to concentrate in my work. I have been forcing myself to do so. Every now and then, I’m looking at you from far, do you know that? I went into a dessert hut and get some chocolate cakes. The moment I stepped out of the shop, I saw the both of you walking towards me.
“Hi.” Wang Zi greeted me in a monotone. I looked at Gui. Both of us didn’t speak to each other.
“We are heading for lunch, do you want to join us?” After hearing this sentence, I hide the box of chocolate cakes behind my back.
“No, thank you.” I relied in a cold tone and walked away. I forced myself not to turn back, not to see the both of them.

Chapter Twenty Four: Medical Report
*Aaron’s POV*
Argh! My head is spinning like mad. I managed to get down the bed and headed for the toilet. When I walked down the stairs, I saw Calvin walking around my house.
“What are you doing here?” Calvin stopped and looked up at me.
“You are awake! Why don’t you sleep more?”
“What time is it now?” I asked.
“12pm.”
“12pm!!! Since you are here, why didn’t you wake me up?? I’m late for work.” Calvin stopped me from going back to my room.
“What actually happen? You wouldn’t drink like how you did yesterday. You are hiding something from me.” Calvin then took my medical report and showed it in front of me. I stunned. How did he get this?? I tried to remember what happen yesterday but my mind was totally blank.
“Hebe was very angry with you when she heard from Gui Gui of what you did to her. You didn’t..”
“No. I didn’t tell her.”
“Not even me. I thought we were buddies.” I didn’t reply him. “This is the reason why you pushed Gui Gui away?” I continue to keep silence.
“Aaron, what are you thinking?? What on earth are you thinking??!!” Calvin started shaking me vigorously.
“I don’t want to forget about her.” Calvin stopped shaking me.
“What you mean?”
“I didn’t want to forget about her. At the same time, I do not want her to worry for me. If I keep her beside me, she would get more hurt if I leave this world. I wanted her to smile like that day she smiled at the skating ground. If I couldn’t give her any happiness, I would hope others can. I’m letting her go.”
“What are you saying??!! Why will you forget about her??” Calvin started to get very pissed off with what I’m saying because he feels that it doesn’t make any sense.
“Because the doctor said I would lose my memory if I go for operation!! I didn’t want to forget about her!!!” I could feel that I’m almost screaming at the top of my voice. A few seconds of silence grew in between us.
I broke the silent. “I’m sorry about it.”
“Aaron, tell Gui Gui about it.”
“No. Calvin, I tell you. You are not going to tell anyone about this including Hebe.” Calvin looked at me. “No. Keep this to yourself.” I patted on his back and headed back to my room.
“Hey, where you going?”
“Let’s go out and have lunch.” I said. I went to my room and bath. After 10 minutes,
“Calvin, let’s go.”
“I need to buy food for the girls. Hebe asked me to take away food for them.” My whole mood sunk. Gui should be at the florist shop now. He patted on my shoulder.
“Let’s go.”
~At the florist shop~
“Dear~” Calvin dashed into the shop and hugged Hebe. Hebe smiled at him and noticed my presence. She ignored me. Calvin took a look at me. I didn’t want to mention anything. Just then, Gui walked out from the room in the shop. Both of us started staring at each other before Hebe diverted Gui’s attention.
“Gui, new orders. Mr Lim wanted a bouquet of blue roses and Mr Yew wanted lavender.” She nodded at her and took the receipt from her. After a few seconds, Wang Zi walked into the shop.
“Hello.” Just after he greeted them, he stared at me.
“Why are you here? Are you hoping to hurt Gui even more? I tell you..” Gui pulled him away and stopped him from continuing his sentence.
“Stop saying.” Gui mumbled to him. All along, Calvin was looking at me.
“I know. But..” I shook my head at him.
“Dear, what do you want to eat??” Calvin asked Hebe sweetly. He looked as if he has split personality. Keke~
“Let’s all go out and eat.” Wang Zi suggested.
“Then who is going to look after the shop?” Hebe asked.
“You all can go and have your lunch. I can stay here.” Han offered.
“It’s ok. Just take away food to the shop.” Gui said.
“Just stop working for a moment.” Wang Zi took all the flowers and receipt away from Gui’s hand and placed it on the table. “Let’s go.” And he held onto Gui’s hand. I stared at their hands. Gui saw me looking and she took her hand back immediately. Wang Zi sensed the interaction between Gui and me. He took Gui’s hand once more and left the shop with the others following behind.
“Buddy..” Calvin appeared behind me.
“I’m fine. Let’s go.”
~At the restaurant~
Gui was sitting opposite me with Wang Zi beside her. I started to wonder did he intentionally ask everyone to go out for lunch. He started giving all his food to Gui.
“Gui, eat more eat more.” My food was already delivered to me but I didn’t even start eating it. All my attention was on the both of them. Gui looked up and saw me staring at the both of them. She immediately stopped whatever Wang Zi was doing.
“I can’t finish everything. Stop giving me your share. I’m fine.” Wang Zi has this happy look on his face. Calvin started nudging me.
“Brother..” I nodded to him and started eating. I think he did it on purpose. I can’t concentrate on eating with him there.
“Gui, do you want to try the salad? It’s nice.” Wang Zi said. “Do you want any desserts?” Even if Gui don’t feel irritated, I feel irritated. I don’t have the mood to eat anymore. I put down my fork and knife.
“I’m going off. Happy eating.” I said. Gui looked at me as I stood up.
“Brother..” I shifted my chair backwards while standing up. No. No. No. Not now. Not now. My head started hurting. Not now. Not in front of her.
“Aaron!” Calvin quickly held on to me. “Are you alright?” He whispered to me. I tried to balance myself before taking one more step. My world just blanked out suddenly.
“Aaron!!!” That’s was the last word that I heard from Gui before losing my conscious.
*Aaron’s POV*

Chapter Twenty Three: Final Blow
*Aaron’s POV*
I really hurt her badly. My heart hurts a lot too. I wanted to hug her into my arms but I stopped myself from doing so. She put on a happy face today. I was hesitating whether to continue being cold to her. However, thinking of my condition, I continued doing so. And today I did to the extreme.
“Morning Aaron!! I made this breakfast for you. Hurry up and eat before it gets cold.” I didn’t want to stay longer in this house. It just made me hurt even more seeing her like this.
“I’m not eating. I’m leaving.” I said coldly and brushed her hands off.
“Wait Wait. If you do not want to eat breakfast, it’s ok. I made a lunch box for you. Take it with you. I made it specially for you. I’m afraid that you will forget to eat lunch again so I..” Why is she doing this??!! ARGH!! I tried to leave but she chased after me.
“Aaron, lunch box..” I turned around and looked at her with the lunch box holding on her hands. Should I? I shouldn’t have done this but I flipped the lunch box onto the ground.
“I didn’t ask you to make for me.” I walked off and left her standing there stunned.
After going to the company, I kept on thinking about the scenes. I totally regretted doing that. I promise her not to hurt her anymore. But I had done a lot of damages to her within these 2 days. Around lunch time, I thought of the lunch box she made for me in the morning. I started thinking. Should I go and find her?? I grabbed my things and left. I drove to the florist shop but I didn’t see her there so I drove home.
“Where is Gui Gui?” I asked one of the maids.
“She said she is going to the supermarket.” I also heard from them that Gui Gui has been cleaning the house. Just then, I heard the sound of the opening of door. I turned around to look. She was with Wang Zi. The moment she saw me, she immediately dashed towards me.
“Why are you back? I thought..”
“I came back to take documents.” I said coldly. I’m really affected when I saw her with Wang Zi.
“Why are you here?” I stood in front of Wang Zi.
“I met him at the supermarket and he..” Gui quickly ran up to stand in front of me.
“Not interested.” I wanted to walk off but he grabbed onto my arm.
“Gui, is he bullying you?”
“Hands off.”
“No no. He did not bully me.” Gui “plucked” off his hand from my arms. I left after that.
At night, after work, I went back home. I was hesitating whether to go into the house. I hope she is sleeping already. I wouldn’t want to hurt her any further. I took a deep breath and walked in. I found her sleeping on the dining table. I looked at the table. She prepared the dinner.
“Gui.. Gui..” I nudged her.
“Aaron?” I rubbed her eyes. “You are back already?” She took a look at the dishes on the table.
“They must be cold already. I heat up the food for you.” My heart feels so pain to see her like this. I stopped her.
“Gui, don’t need. I’m not hungry.” I ignored her and walked back to my room.
After 10 minutes, Gui came knocking onto my room.
“Aaron, I heat up some milk for you. Drink it before sleeping ok?” She smiled sweetly.
“I don’t need it.” I replied coldly.
“Aaron..”
“I said I don’t need to!! Stop bugging me will you??!! I really hope that you will disappear in front of me!!!”
I hurt her again. She dropped the glass of milk onto the floor and ran off. After 15 minutes, I went out of my room. I couldn’t find her anywhere in the house. Just then, outside started pouring. Rain started pouring down heavily. Did she run out? Should I go and find her? While I was pondering, I saw flash of lightings. I grabbed an umbrella and went out looking for her. Where is she?? Did she go all the way to the playground? I drove all the way to the playground and saw her sitting on the swing. I get down from my car and went over to her. But I was late. The moment I got down from my car, Wang Zi was already standing in front of her, sheltering her with an umbrella.
*Gui Gui’s POV*
I can’t believe he said that. That isn’t him. That isn’t him. I kept on running and running. Tears kept on flowing and flowing. But the rain seems to cover up all my tears. Without realizing, I ran back to the same old place – playground. Memories started flooding back into my mind. The rain seems to understand how I feel as it is crying with me.
Suddenly, the rain stopped. I looked up to see Wang Zi was actually the one sheltering me with umbrella.
“Wang Zi? Why are you here?”
“I should be the one asking you this.” Wang Zi held my hand, pulling me up from the swing. “Let’s go.” He forcefully pulled me along with him. Both of us saw Aaron standing in front of us.
“Let’s go.” Wang Zi pulled me to his car. I took a last glance of Aaron before leaving with Wang Zi.
“You will spend your days at my house. I will not allow you to go back to him.”
“Wang Zi, I..”
“In the afternoon, I already sense sometime wrong. He did bully you, didn’t he?” This time, I kept silence.
*Calvin’s POV*
“Aaron! Stop drinking already!!” I wanted to stop Aaron from drinking. He has been drinking a lot. What’s wrong with him??
“You called me out just to see you drink?!! Stop drinking already!” I snatched the cup away from him. He still intended to drink directly from the bottle.
“What is the matter with you!!!” I started shaking him real hard. He started to laugh.
“Gui cooked dinner for me today. She prepare lunch box for me too..”
“You are drunk already. I’m going to send you home.” I wanted to pull him up.
“No. I’m not drunk. You are my buddy. You should drink with me also.” He started pouring the beer into the cups and drinking them in shots.
“Stop drinking already!” I forcefully took the cups away from him and dragged him out of the pub.
I drove him home and threw him on his bed. This is the first time I ever see him in this condition. I told the maids to clean up for him. Just as the moment I’m leaving his room, I saw his medical report.

Chapter Twenty Two: “Un-warmed”
*Gui Gui’s POV*
I got up very early today. I went over to Aaron’s room and saw him still sleeping soundly. Yes! I woke up earlier than him. I quickly rushed down to the kitchen after washing up. I believe he was just having a bad mood yesterday. He should have met some problems in his work. I should prepare breakfast for him. He has always liked my cooking. He will become happy again once he eats the breakfast I’m preparing. AH! Lunch too. I should prepare lunch box for him too. Do not know whether did he eat lunch on time everyday.. So.. I prepare a lunch box for him, he will eat right?? I started giggling to myself and started preparing the breakfast and lunch for him.
I cut and cooked until I’m sweating all over but I’m so satisfied with myself once I see the breakfast and lunch box I made for Aaron. I hope he will love it. Just then I heard footsteps outside the kitchen. Aaron should be preparing for work now. I happily bring out the breakfast and the lunch box to the dining room.
“Morning Aaron!!” I dashed towards him. He was not looking at me and there wasn’t any smile hanging on his face. He did not reply me. He stared at the table. I saw him looking at the breakfast so I continued.
“I made this breakfast for you. Hurry up and eat before it gets cold.” I grabbed onto his arms wanting to pull him to the chair and sit but..
He swung my hands away and said, “I’m not eating. I’m leaving.” The moment he turned and wanting to leave, I caught onto his hands.
“Wait Wait. If you do not want to eat breakfast, it’s ok. I made a lunch box for you.” I happily turned to the table and took the lunch box form the table. “Take it with you. I made it specially for you. I’m afraid that you will forget to eat lunch again so I..” He didn’t allow me to complete my sentence before leaving. I hurriedly followed behind him.
“Aaron, lunch box..” I didn’t know why but his actions sort of made my voice soften. I didn’t even dare to grab on to his arms. When he turned around and looked at me, I was quite surprised and happy but..
He looked down at the lunch box. He rose up his hands and flipped the lunch box away from my hand and it landed on the ground. All the rice and vegetables spilt out of the box.
“I didn’t ask you to make for me.” He said in a very cold tone before leaving the house for work. I was stunned. I could feel that my legs are practically stuck to the ground. I didn’t see this coming. Drop of tears started rolling down my eyes. I started to question and blame myself.
Did I did something wrong which made Aaron angry? Is it because of Wang Zi? I should have avoided him. Or I’m not good enough?? It’s the fact that I gave him a lot of problems. Even since the first time we met, I have always been a burden to him, isn’t it? He must be tired of me.
The more I think, the more I cry. All the things that I start to question myself became more and more ridiculous.
I went over to pick up the lunch box. Tears just continuously falling down. I picked up the meat and vegetables one by one and put back into the lunch box. I don’t feel like going to the shop hence I called Hebe to tell her than I’m not going.
“Gui, what happen? Are you feeling unwell? Why you sound so reckless? Did you call Aaron to tell him?” Hebe started asking a lot a lot of questions.
“I’m fine. I’m just having a slight headache. I will be fine after resting.” I lied to her. I put down the phone. I didn’t know what to do now. I looked around the house. I went into the cleaners’ room to take out mop, pail, broom, cloths, scrubs and soaps.
I didn’t want to think of it now. There is nothing wrong between me and Aaron. I’m just being over-sensitive. Yes. Over-sensitive. I mumbled while cleaning the house.
“Ms Gui Gui, let us clean. You shouldn’t be the one cleaning the house.” The maids started chasing me after all the mop, broom, pail and others. “Young Master would scold us if he sees this.” I paused when I heard this. One drop of tear flowed out from my right eye.
“Ms Gui Gui..” The maids slowly approached me and took the things away. I wiped off the tear and stood up.
“Then.. I’m going out to buy grocery.”

“I’m going out.” I’m determined to do so. I ran up to my room to take my things and left the house. I walked around the supermarket, pushing a trolley. The trolley was filled with food especially chocolate ice-cream. I tried to be happy when I’m out.
What should I make for dinner tonight? What would Aaron like to eat tonight? I happily grabbed everything I see in the meat and vegetables section. I pushed to the counter and paid for the things. Guess I bought too much things. I have problems taking all the things home. I looked all the things in the trolley. Just then, someone called out to me.
“Gui!” I saw Wang Zi running towards my direction.
“Why are you here?”
“I was planning to buy things from the supermarket and go to the florist shop to find you.” He looked down to my trolley.
“Why did you buy so many things? Where’s Aaron? Is he with you?” All my emotions almost come out when he mention Aaron but I managed to swallow all of them down to the stomach. I forced out a smile.
“He is working now.”
“Let me send you home first than go back to the florist shop.”
“I’m not working today. And.. I can go home myself.” I rejected his offer but he insisted in sending me home.
“Thanks for sending me home.” I took all the things from his car.
“Let me help you with it.” He came forward and took some bags from me.
“I can manage. Really.” I wanted to take back the bags but he wouldn’t let me. The moment we stepped into the house, we saw Aaron. Why he.. I thought he was at the company? I happily put down all the things on the floor and ran up to him.
“Why are you back? I thought..” He cut off my sentence.
“I came back to take documents.” He said and walked away. His coldness is still there.
“Why are you here?” Aaron asked while facing Wang Zi. I quickly run to them standing in between them.
“I met him at the supermarket and he..”
“Not interested.” He passed me. Wang Zi grabbed onto his arms to stop him from leaving. “Gui, is he bullying you?” Wang Zi asked me.
“Hands off.” Aaron said. I quickly turned around and took Wang Zi’s hands off Aaron’s arms. “No no. He did not bully me.” The moment Wang Zi let go of his grip, Aaron walked off. I looked at his back view. I wanted to cry out so badly but I didn’t.
“I can manage now. Don’t worry.” I took the things from Wang Zi.
“Gui..” I forced out a smile. “Bye.” And I carried the things to the kitchen.
I started stuffing all the things into the refrigerator.
“Ah. There isn’t enough space to put the chocolate ice-cream.” I took a look at the boxes of chocolate ice-cream. There were still 2 boxes of ice-cream. Guess I shall not waste it. I will eat it then. I close the refrigerator door and took all the ice-cream up to my room.
Without much thinking, I opened up the ice-cream and started eating. At the same time, tears started welling out from my eyes.
*Gui Gui’s POV*
I got up very early today. I went over to Aaron’s room and saw him still sleeping soundly. Yes! I woke up earlier than him. I quickly rushed down to the kitchen after washing up. I believe he was just having a bad mood yesterday. He should have met some problems in his work. I should prepare breakfast for him. He has always liked my cooking. He will become happy again once he eats the breakfast I’m preparing. AH! Lunch too. I should prepare lunch box for him too. Do not know whether did he eat lunch on time everyday.. So.. I prepare a lunch box for him, he will eat right?? I started giggling to myself and started preparing the breakfast and lunch for him.
I cut and cooked until I’m sweating all over but I’m so satisfied with myself once I see the breakfast and lunch box I made for Aaron. I hope he will love it. Just then I heard footsteps outside the kitchen. Aaron should be preparing for work now. I happily bring out the breakfast and the lunch box to the dining room.
“Morning Aaron!!” I dashed towards him. He was not looking at me and there wasn’t any smile hanging on his face. He did not reply me. He stared at the table. I saw him looking at the breakfast so I continued.
“I made this breakfast for you. Hurry up and eat before it gets cold.” I grabbed onto his arms wanting to pull him to the chair and sit but..
He swung my hands away and said, “I’m not eating. I’m leaving.” The moment he turned and wanting to leave, I caught onto his hands.
“Wait Wait. If you do not want to eat breakfast, it’s ok. I made a lunch box for you.” I happily turned to the table and took the lunch box form the table. “Take it with you. I made it specially for you. I’m afraid that you will forget to eat lunch again so I..” He didn’t allow me to complete my sentence before leaving. I hurriedly followed behind him.
“Aaron, lunch box..” I didn’t know why but his actions sort of made my voice soften. I didn’t even dare to grab on to his arms. When he turned around and looked at me, I was quite surprised and happy but..
He looked down at the lunch box. He rose up his hands and flipped the lunch box away from my hand and it landed on the ground. All the rice and vegetables spilt out of the box.
“I didn’t ask you to make for me.” He said in a very cold tone before leaving the house for work. I was stunned. I could feel that my legs are practically stuck to the ground. I didn’t see this coming. Drop of tears started rolling down my eyes. I started to question and blame myself.
Did I did something wrong which made Aaron angry? Is it because of Wang Zi? I should have avoided him. Or I’m not good enough?? It’s the fact that I gave him a lot of problems. Even since the first time we met, I have always been a burden to him, isn’t it? He must be tired of me.
The more I think, the more I cry. All the things that I start to question myself became more and more ridiculous.
I went over to pick up the lunch box. Tears just continuously falling down. I picked up the meat and vegetables one by one and put back into the lunch box. I don’t feel like going to the shop hence I called Hebe to tell her than I’m not going.
“Gui, what happen? Are you feeling unwell? Why you sound so reckless? Did you call Aaron to tell him?” Hebe started asking a lot a lot of questions.
“I’m fine. I’m just having a slight headache. I will be fine after resting.” I lied to her. I put down the phone. I didn’t know what to do now. I looked around the house. I went into the cleaners’ room to take out mop, pail, broom, cloths, scrubs and soaps.
I didn’t want to think of it now. There is nothing wrong between me and Aaron. I’m just being over-sensitive. Yes. Over-sensitive. I mumbled while cleaning the house.
“Ms Gui Gui, let us clean. You shouldn’t be the one cleaning the house.” The maids started chasing me after all the mop, broom, pail and others. “Young Master would scold us if he sees this.” I paused when I heard this. One drop of tear flowed out from my right eye.

*Aaron’s POV*
As usual, I woke up early today and went to the company. I arranged nicely the documents and settled the projects before heading to the hospital.
“Doctor..”
“Here. This way.” The nurse led me to the X-ray room. I waited for hours before the report was out.
“Doctor, how is it?” He was looking at the X-ray film.
“Mr Yan, your headache is caused by..” He seemed to be hesitating.
“What is it, doctor?” I started to lose my patient.
“Mr Yan, its brain tumor.” I was speechless.
“The good news is that the succession rate is 70%. But..”
“But what??”
“You might have lost your memory after the operation.” What? Does it mean that I’m going to forget about her? No!
“I suggest you to undergo the operation soon. Because the tumor is pressing against your..” The doctor continued.
“No!!” I dashed out of the doctor’s office without allowing him to finish his sentence. I didn’t know why but I drove my way to the florist shop. I stood from far and I saw her with him laughing happily.
*Gui Gui’s POV*
“Morning!!” My mood is so good today!! I kept on smiling and smiling.
“Morning. You sure have a good mood today. Why are you smiling non-stop?” Hebe said.
I didn’t reply her but kept on smiling. I took out my phone and looked at the wallpaper. This just made me be happy even more.
“Morning, Wang Zi.” Han said. I turned around and saw Wang Zi standing in the shop.
“Morning!” I greeted him.
“You are sure in the good mood today.”
“She has been smiling to herself since the moment she stepped into the shop.” Hebe said.
Wang Zi looked at me and I smiled to him.
“It sure got to do with Aaron. Her mood is only affected by him.” Hebe continued.
This made Wang Zi’s expression changed. I noticed it and hinted Hebe to stop.
“What brings you here?” I asked Wang Zi to divert the topic.
“I dropped by yesterday but they say you weren’t in.”
“Oh. You are finding me? For?” I said while picking up flowers from the vase.
“Nothing much. Just wanted to have dinner with you.” I paused to think. I should make clear to him right?
“Wang Zi, actually I..”
“I know. I understand. I already knew your answer that day at the restaurant.”
“I’m sorry. I..”
“You don’t have to apologies, silly.” And he messed up my hair.
“Hey! How dare you!!” And I started hitting him. Both of us laugh happily. Wang Zi stayed in the shop for the whole day. Till the night, I waited for Aaron to come but I didn’t see him anywhere. I tried calling him but he didn’t pick up the phone.
“Is Aaron coming?” Hebe asked me.
“I’m not sure.” I replied.
“I got to go. Calvin is waiting for me.”
“Go ahead. Don’t worry about me.”
“Ok.” Hebe said.
“I’m going off too.” Han said. Guess Jiro was also waiting for her.
“Gui Gui, I sent you back home.” Wang Zi said.
“It’s ok. Aaron will come. You can go back first.” I started dialing him number again. Wang Zi took a last glance of me before leaving the shop.
*Wang Zi’s POV*
I didn’t want to leave but all she can see was Aaron. I guess silently protecting her at the back was also a good way of loving her. As I walked out of the shop, I saw Aaron standing a distance away from the shop. I walked up to him.
“Why are you standing here? Since you are here, why don’t you go in?” I asked.
“None of your business.” His tone sounded so cold. He wanted to turn and walked away before I stopped him.
“Why do you think you are going? Gui Gui is still waiting for you in the shop.” I grabbed on to his arm.
“I didn’t ask her to wait for me. I also didn’t say that I’m going to fetch her.” He swung off my hand and walked off. I held him back and turned him around to face me.
“What do you mean by this?!!” I can’t hold back my temper and I punched him in his face. He fell on to the floor. The corner of his lips bleeds.
“How could you say this??!!!” He didn’t say anything but stood up and walked away. I shouted to him. “I shouldn’t have give up on Gui Gui. I will snatch her back from you!”
He stopped and said. “Suit yourself.” What’s wrong with him? His attitude just made me boils! Gui Gui! I immediately ran back to the shop.
“Eh? Wang Zi, why did you come back?” I grabbed onto her hand.
“I send you back.”
“Why?” She wanted to loosen my grip.
“Aaron will not come. Stop waiting for him. Let’s go.”

“Just go.” I pulled her out of the shop and locked the door for her. Although I’m quite reluctant, she was still staying at Aaron’s house. So I got to drive her back to his house.
“Bye.” She skipped happily into the house.

“Why didn’t you answer my call?”

Chapter Twenty: Best Memory
*Aaron’s POV*
It’s morning already. I tried to get up but my head.. It started to hurt again.
“Aaron? Are you awake?” Gui knocked on my door.
“Ya.”
“Can I come in?” Gui slowly opened the door. “Aaron, are you ok? You look so pale.” She immediately dashed in and crawled up to my bed. She started touching my forehead.
“Are you having fever? Cough? Flu?”
“Gui, I’m fine. Don’t worry ok? I go and washed up now.” I pushed myself up from bed and walked to the toilet.
“Gui, let’s go.” I held her hand and walked down the stairs. I could feel that she is staring at me. She must be worry about me. I must hang on. I want today to be the best memory between the both of us.
“Don’t worry ok? I will be fine.” I’m planning to go a lot of places today. We went all over the places to eat and play.
“Aaron! Aaron! I want that piglet!” We are at the amusement park now. Gui is happily pointing to the piglet on the shelves.
“Let’s win it ok?” I asked.
“OK!!!” I must remember clearly the way she laughs today. She hugged the piglet and ran all over the amusement park wanting to try of the games there.
“Aaron, hug my piglet for me. I’m going to the wash room.” I took the piglet for her.
Just as Gui walked into the washroom, my phone ring.
“Hello?”
“Hello. I’m Doctor Tan. Is this Mr Yan?”
“Yes. I’m speaking.”
“I would like to inform you that we have already arranged a time for the X-ray of your head. Are you available tomorrow noon?”
“Yes. I will be there on time.”
“Ok. Thank you.” I became expressionless.
“Aaron??” Gui waved her hand in front of my eyes.
“Sorry.”
“What wrong? Do you need to go back to the company again?” She has the disappointment expression on her face again.
“No no. Gui, I promise that we will date for the whole day today ok?” Her face lightened up again.
“Ok! Where shall we go now?” She took the piglet and hugged it tightly.
“Secret.” I held onto her hand and headed to the car.
“Wait.” After we reached the place, I blindfolded her.
“Aaron, where are we going?” She started panicking when I blindfolded her. “You are not going to leave me alone right?”
“Nope.” I held on to her hand. “Just follow me.” I lead her into the place and left her alone standing in the middle of the place. I let her hand off and left.
“Aaron? Aaron?” Gui started calling out my name but I didn’t reply her.
“Aaron? Where are you? Don’t scare me.” I could hear her voice started cracking. She then slowly took down her blindfold. The entire place was in darkness.
“Aaron!!!!!!” This made her cried out loudly. Just then, the lights turned on. It was a beautiful place booked just for her. She was standing in the middle of the skating ground. The place was filled with snow too. Although the snow was artificial, the scenario was nice too. Snowflakes started falling down.
“Eh?” Gui looked around. She stretched her hand out to feel the snow. Just at this moment, I skated towards her. I held my hand out to wipe off her tears.
“I didn’t mean to.” She started tearing again.
“I thought you.. How could you leave me alone??!!” She started hitting my chest. I grabbed her hand and hugged her tightly.
“Sorry.” I whispered into her ears. She started sobbing. I pushed her away a little and looked at her.
“I’m sorry.”
Gui, just by leaving you a while, it made you cry so badly. What if I’m really leaving you? I’m so afraid of losing you but fate has been starting to play tricks on us, doesn’t it?
I smiled at her. “Do you like this place?” She started looking around. I skated behind her.
“Yap! I love this place!!” She turned around and faced me.
“This will be our second secret place ok?” She nodded and looked down to my legs.
“I didn’t know that you skate.” I smiled at her.
“Do you want to skate to?” She shook her head.
“I don’t know how to skate.” I held on to her hands and brought her to the bench.
“I can teach you.” I gave her the skates. She nodded and changed on to the skates.
“Don’t let go of my hands ok??” She showed me that worried face.
“Ok, silly.” I giggled.
“Aahhhhhhhhhhh.” I started skating in a fast speed pulling her behind me. She started screaming out loud. This made me laugh out loud instead.
“Not funny ok!” She pouted.
“Ok ok. Let’s skate slowly.” She was a fast learner. She started skating on her own.
I stood at the side, seeing her skate around the skating ground. I really hope that we could stay at this very moment. I didn’t want this smile on your face to disappear. Can you always stay like this? You should stay smiling always.
“Aaron!!” I looked at her from far. She mouthed something which I can’t really see understand.
“Huh?” I shouted back. She started mouthing the words again, this time with a slower pace.
“I – Love – You.” And she smiled sweetly. I skated towards and hugged her tightly. Real tight this time.
“Aaron, I can’t breathe.” I then loosen my grip. She held her hand out and touched my face. She pushed my head a little lower. I looked at her with a lot of question marks above my head when she smiled at me. She lifted her head up and put her lips on mine. We had a long, passionate kiss.
“Aaron, I want to go and play the snow.” She sounded like a little girl when she said this. I nodded at her and she ran out of the skating ground. She changed the skates and ran towards the snow piles.
I looked at her again. She was happily piling up the snow. She made 2 snowmen.
“Aaron, Aaron. Are they cute??” She really behaved like a little girl at this moment. This just makes me loving her even more.
“Yes.”
“Does it look like you and me?” I looked at both snowmen.
“Which one are you which one is me?” She pointed to the snowman which is taller. “This is you and this is me.” And she pointed to the next snowman.
“Let’s take a photo with them.” Gui came forward to me and took my hand phone. She pulled me next to her and we squatted down in front of the snowmen.
“This will be your wallpaper.” She happily changed the wallpaper of my phone. “I also want.” She smiled sweetly while bluetooth-ing the photo to her phone.
“I also put as wallpaper. Ta-da!!” She showed me the 2 wallpapers she put on mine and her phone.
“You are not supposed to change the wallpaper without my consent ok?”
“Yes, my dear.” She smiled sweetly at me before running off to stack more snowmen.
I went to the bench to change out my skates. “Gui, we got to go home already.”
“But I have not finished stacking my snowmen.” She just wanted to continue staying here.
“Gui, it’s already very late. You got to go back and rest already.”
“Ok.” She sounded very disappointed but suddenly her faced lighten up again. “We can come back here anytime again??!!” I was taken back by her words. I didn’t want to disappoint her.
“Yes. We can come back here anytime.” Her smile grew on her face again.
She fell asleep on the way back home. I carried her up to her bed.
“Sleep tight.” I kissed her on the forehead before leaving the room. I leaned outside her room. My head hurt again.
*Aaron’s POV*
It’s morning already. I tried to get up but my head.. It started to hurt again.
“Aaron? Are you awake?” Gui knocked on my door.
“Ya.”
“Can I come in?” Gui slowly opened the door. “Aaron, are you ok? You look so pale.” She immediately dashed in and crawled up to my bed. She started touching my forehead.
“Are you having fever? Cough? Flu?”
“Gui, I’m fine. Don’t worry ok? I go and washed up now.” I pushed myself up from bed and walked to the toilet.
“Gui, let’s go.” I held her hand and walked down the stairs. I could feel that she is staring at me. She must be worry about me. I must hang on. I want today to be the best memory between the both of us.
“Don’t worry ok? I will be fine.” I’m planning to go a lot of places today. We went all over the places to eat and play.
“Aaron! Aaron! I want that piglet!” We are at the amusement park now. Gui is happily pointing to the piglet on the shelves.
“Let’s win it ok?” I asked.
“OK!!!” I must remember clearly the way she laughs today. She hugged the piglet and ran all over the amusement park wanting to try of the games there.
“Aaron, hug my piglet for me. I’m going to the wash room.” I took the piglet for her.
Just as Gui walked into the washroom, my phone ring.
“Hello?”
“Hello. I’m Doctor Tan. Is this Mr Yan?”
“Yes. I’m speaking.”
“I would like to inform you that we have already arranged a time for the X-ray of your head. Are you available tomorrow noon?”
“Yes. I will be there on time.”
“Ok. Thank you.” I became expressionless.
“Aaron??” Gui waved her hand in front of my eyes.
“Sorry.”
“What wrong? Do you need to go back to the company again?” She has the disappointment expression on her face again.
“No no. Gui, I promise that we will date for the whole day today ok?” Her face lightened up again.
“Ok! Where shall we go now?” She took the piglet and hugged it tightly.
“Secret.” I held onto her hand and headed to the car.
“Wait.” After we reached the place, I blindfolded her.
“Aaron, where are we going?” She started panicking when I blindfolded her. “You are not going to leave me alone right?”
“Nope.” I held on to her hand. “Just follow me.” I lead her into the place and left her alone standing in the middle of the place. I let her hand off and left.
“Aaron? Aaron?” Gui started calling out my name but I didn’t reply her.
“Aaron? Where are you? Don’t scare me.” I could hear her voice started cracking. She then slowly took down her blindfold. The entire place was in darkness.
“Aaron!!!!!!” This made her cried out loudly. Just then, the lights turned on. It was a beautiful place booked just for her. She was standing in the middle of the skating ground. The place was filled with snow too. Although the snow was artificial, the scenario was nice too. Snowflakes started falling down.
“Eh?” Gui looked around. She stretched her hand out to feel the snow. Just at this moment, I skated towards her. I held my hand out to wipe off her tears.
“I didn’t mean to.” She started tearing again.
“I thought you.. How could you leave me alone??!!” She started hitting my chest. I grabbed her hand and hugged her tightly.
“Sorry.” I whispered into her ears. She started sobbing. I pushed her away a little and looked at her.
“I’m sorry.”
Gui, just by leaving you a while, it made you cry so badly. What if I’m really leaving you? I’m so afraid of losing you but fate has been starting to play tricks on us, doesn’t it?
I smiled at her. “Do you like this place?” She started looking around. I skated behind her.
“Yap! I love this place!!” She turned around and faced me.
“This will be our second secret place ok?” She nodded and looked down to my legs.
“I didn’t know that you skate.” I smiled at her.
“Do you want to skate to?” She shook her head.
“I don’t know how to skate.” I held on to her hands and brought her to the bench.
“I can teach you.” I gave her the skates. She nodded and changed on to the skates.
“Don’t let go of my hands ok??” She showed me that worried face.
“Ok, silly.” I giggled.
“Aahhhhhhhhhhh.” I started skating in a fast speed pulling her behind me. She started screaming out loud. This made me laugh out loud instead.
“Not funny ok!” She pouted.
“Ok ok. Let’s skate slowly.” She was a fast learner. She started skating on her own.
I stood at the side, seeing her skate around the skating ground. I really hope that we could stay at this very moment. I didn’t want this smile on your face to disappear. Can you always stay like this? You should stay smiling always.
“Aaron!!” I looked at her from far. She mouthed something which I can’t really see understand.
“Huh?” I shouted back. She started mouthing the words again, this time with a slower pace.
“I – Love – You.” And she smiled sweetly. I skated towards and hugged her tightly. Real tight this time.
“Aaron, I can’t breathe.” I then loosen my grip. She held her hand out and touched my face. She pushed my head a little lower. I looked at her with a lot of question marks above my head when she smiled at me. She lifted her head up and put her lips on mine. We had a long, passionate kiss.
“Aaron, I want to go and play the snow.” She sounded like a little girl when she said this. I nodded at her and she ran out of the skating ground. She changed the skates and ran towards the snow piles.
I looked at her again. She was happily piling up the snow. She made 2 snowmen.
“Aaron, Aaron. Are they cute??” She really behaved like a little girl at this moment. This just makes me loving her even more.
“Yes.”
“Does it look like you and me?” I looked at both snowmen.
“Which one are you which one is me?” She pointed to the snowman which is taller. “This is you and this is me.” And she pointed to the next snowman.
“Let’s take a photo with them.” Gui came forward to me and took my hand phone. She pulled me next to her and we squatted down in front of the snowmen.
“This will be your wallpaper.” She happily changed the wallpaper of my phone. “I also want.” She smiled sweetly while bluetooth-ing the photo to her phone.
“I also put as wallpaper. Ta-da!!” She showed me the 2 wallpapers she put on mine and her phone.
“You are not supposed to change the wallpaper without my consent ok?”
“Yes, my dear.” She smiled sweetly at me before running off to stack more snowmen.

#19 Impossible
Chapter Nineteen: Impossible
*Aaron’s POV*
I didn’t know how to start the conversation with him. The both of us stood outside with me back facing him.
“What do you want to talk about?” He was the one who spoke first. I turned around and faced him.
“You should know, don’t you?”
“If you say so, I guess I know.” I started hard at him. This is the first time I felt threatened. I’m afraid of losing her.
“I always have special feelings for her since young. I would say that if I hadn’t leave her, things might change isn’t it?” He continued. “I didn’t really intend to snatch her away from you but I really want her to become mine now.” For a moment, I really feel like giving him a punch and I did it at a wrong time.
“Aaron!” Gui dashed out of the restaurant and ran towards Wang Zi. “What happened? Why do you punch him?”
“Don’t worry, Gui. I’m fine.” Wang Zi stood up from the ground. “He has the reason to do so.”
“Why?” Gui looked at him with a puzzled face.
“Because from now onwards, I want you to be my girlfriend.” Just as he said this, Calvin, Hebe, Han and Jiro also walked out of the restaurant. Everyone were stunned by what he had said especially Gui. I held onto Gui’s hand and pulled her behind me.
Wang Zi and I started staring at each other.
“I will never let you have her.” I said firmly and walked away with Gui, holding firmly onto her hand.
Throughout the journey, I’m unable to concentrate.
“Beepppppppppp~” I stepped on the brake immediately. We almost met a car accident.
“Aaron..” Gui put her hand on mine.
“Sorry, Gui.” She shook her head.
When we reached home, I sat in my room. I didn’t understand why I’m feeling so unsafe. It’s as if something bad is going to happen. Probably I’m just being over-sensitive and stressed over work. Just then, Gui knocked on the door. She popped her head in and walked in with a glass of milk.
“Drink it before you go to sleep ok?” She smiled at me. I stood up and hugged her tightly.
“Aaron? What really happened to you these few days? You don’t seem to be yourself.”
“I’m fine. Just let me hug you for a while.”
“Gui, Sleep with me tonight ok?” I looked at her. She nodded and smiled.
~The Next Day~
As usual, I got up from bed early. I slowly shifted my body out from the bed not wanting to disturb Gui who was still sleeping on the bed. I walked down the stairs.
“Young Master, your breakfast is ready.” I nodded and walked towards the dining room. This has been happening a few times. That time, I lied to her. It wasn’t my gastric that worked up. I was feeling great pain in my head. That day was the most painful time compared to other times. And now, the pain is back again. It has been happening a few times already. After eating breakfast, I left for work.
The pain kept on “appearing” in my head. I decided to stop working and go for a checkup.
“Doctor, can I know why is my head hurting suddenly?” I asked.
“How long has your head being hurting?”
“It only started around these few weeks.” The doctor seems to be thinking about something.
“Do you feel pain or unwell in other ways rather than having headaches?”
“I don’t think so.”
“I still can’t really conclude anything now. We need to do further checkup. I will arrange a time to scan your head.”
“Doctor, what type of illness does this symptom normally apply to?” He seems to be hesitating.
“Doctor..”
“Brain tumor.” The doctor looked straight into my eyes. I drove my way back to the company. The 2 words kept on appearing in my head. It’s impossible. Impossible. I have not gone for X-ray scan. The result has not proven that I have brain tumor. Impossible. I was not in a good condition today. My mood was affected badly.
Till the night..
“Hello?”
“Aaron? Where are you? Are you coming?” Gui.. She sounded so happy.
“Sorry. I worked till I didn’t notice the time. I’m coming now. You wait for me ok?”
“No worries. I will wait for you.”
I took my things and left the office. When I reached there, I saw Wang Zi and Gui laughing happily in the shop. I didn’t understand myself. I felt like backing off out of the sudden. I lost all the fighting spirit. What is happening to me?
I get down the car and headed to the shop.
“Aaron!” Gui ran up to me, smiling cheerfully and she started saying all the jokes that the both of them have been talking about just now. I looked at Wang Zi.
“She rejected my offer of fetching her home.” Gui smiled widely at me. “I guess her actions have obviously showed who she has chosen.” This sentence bothers me a lot. What if.. Really.. I didn’t dare to continue thinking about it. I looked at Gui.
“Let’s go home ok?” She nodded and smiled sweetly. I didn’t talk much in the car. Gui just continue saying about what they have been talking about just now.
“Gui..” This made her stopped talking about what she has been saying for the past few minutes.
“Ya?”
“Let’s go for a date tomorrow. I always say that we go for a date but in the end, we didn’t. Tomorrow let’s go. I promise.”
“Don’t you have to work tomorrow? I thought you say you are having some big projects?”
“I will take leave tomorrow.”
“Aaron, you don’t have to..” I cut off her sentence.
“I didn’t want to disappoint you. At least for this last time.”
“Last time? What last time?” I shouldn’t have said that. It just blurted out from my mouth.
“I mean before I get busy again. Let’s have a date.” I lied again.
“Ok! Since you say so, I will follow you.” She smiled widely. This time I’m not going to disappoint her again.
